Although Miami Metal pioneers “Trybe” have put a hold on playing shows for over a year now, they still find a way to keep their unique brand of heavy music alive. Love ’em or hate ’em, one thing is clear: Trybe presents an original, uncompromised sound every time- and they won’t try to take a penny from you.
“We make music for the sake of making music. Music is a form of free expression, not a product. To put a price on that would be sin.”
“Circles” was released for free download on August 23rd on their Bandcamp website, marking their second official release. Beautiful, dark, cryptic, chaotic, hopeless; “Circles” stays true to their roots and colour- building upon, expanding, and enhancing their sound tenfold.
What is presented is an experience showing radically talented musicianship, and a less cluttered, conceptual piece of art proving that there are still people out there that know how to do it right. Vague and cryptic lyrics leave much to interpretation, but frequently hint at recurring concepts of time, duality, paradox, transience, and impermanence. Such duality is also mimicked in the music- ranging from melodic to chaotic; heavy to soft.
“Complexity within simplicity, simplicity within complexity.”
